            Softball Recap: Kennett Indians vs. Malden Green Wave        
        
		
        
        
            Kennett proved they can win big  on Saturday (they won by 14) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Malden Green Wave  10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Indians have posted  since March 22nd.

 Handley McAtee made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and four unearned) runs off   seven  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Avery Payne was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.  Emma Tinnin was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs.
 Kennett  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Malden struck out 13 times.
Kennett's record is now 26-8. As for Malden,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 24-9 record.
As of now, neither Kennett nor the Green Wave have any future games scheduled.
