Softball Recap: Wawasee Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Wawasee was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 19-2 to the Mishawaka Cavemen. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cavemen: they've now lost eight in a row.

Audra Weaver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and one stolen base.

Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Mishawaka, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Wawasee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Carroll on the 10th. Mishawaka has also already played their next matchup (against New Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
