Baseball Game Preview: West Anchorage Eagles vs. Dimond Lynx

The West Anchorage Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Dimond Lynx at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Anchorage will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

West Anchorage is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Eagle River, who was ranked 19th at the time (West Anchorage was ranked tenth). The Eagles blew past the Wolves 18-3 on Saturday. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Dimond entered their matchup against South Anchorage on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lynx came up short against the Wolverines, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Lynx couldn't push the score so high this time.

The win got West Anchorage back to even at 3-3-1. As for Dimond, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

West Anchorage couldn't quite get it done against Dimond when the teams last played on Monday as they fell 10-5. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
