Basketball Recap: Judah Sandel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Longview Christian over Christian Heritage

After flying high against Greenville Christian last Tuesday, Longview Christian came back down to earth. Longview Christian lost to the Christian Heritage Sentinels at home by a 47-31 margin on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Longview Christian in their matchups with Christian Heritage: they've now lost four in a row.

Longview Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Judah Sandel, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. Sandel has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Caden Kachmar also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Longview Christian now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Christian Heritage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Longview Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Poetry Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. Christian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
