Softball Game Preview: Taft Greyhounds vs. San Diego Vaqueros

For the second straight game, Taft will face off against San Diego. The Greyhounds will face off against the Vaqueros at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Taft has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Taft heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They came up short against San Diego, falling 13-3. The Greyhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Taft saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josette Aparicio, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Aparicio is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for San Diego and bumps their season record up to 17-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to 16-12.
