Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Elevation Prep Academy's Third in Last Four Outings

Elevation Prep Academy proved they can win big last Sunday (they won by 43) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the Amandla Academy Disciples a 2-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

Elevation Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-18 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points over those games. As for Amandla Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Coming up, Elevation Prep Academy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Central Carolina Prep at 12:00 p.m. Central Carolina Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Elevation Prep Academy likes a good challenge. Amandla Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
