Basketball Recap: Oasis Academy Takes a Loss

Oasis Academy suffered their closest loss since December 20, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Pershing County Mustangs by a score of 48-45. The Bighorns haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Oasis Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Pershing County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Battle Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Pershing County, they will head out on the road to challenge Sierra Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pershing County is facing Sierra Lutheran at the right time seeing as Sierra Lutheran is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
