Southwest Florida Christian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lely, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The King's put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the King's have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Braelyn Davis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Natalie Recker was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Candice Chime, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
