Recap: Wickenburg Wranglers vs. Florence Gophers
The Wickenburg Wranglers lost against the Florence Gophers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wickenburg was the victim of a tough 64-40 loss at the hands of Florence.
Keylee Scarbrough was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Farmer, who scored 14 points.
Wickenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Florence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.
Wickenburg is on the road again on December 28th and play against Agua Fria at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Florence will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
