Volleyball Recap: Grayslake North Comes Up Short

Grayslake North lost against Grayslake Central on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Rams. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Grayslake North had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

Logan Smith paced Grayslake North's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Rees Obaid and his four assists. Finally, Andrew Frederichs and Jake Ronsman kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Grayslake North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Grayslake Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Grayslake North has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Highland Park on the 26th. As for Grayslake Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Zion-Benton on the 26th.
