Football Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Jefferson lost against Harlem back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The J-Hawks had to suffer through a 45-8 loss at the hands of the Huskies. While losing is never fun, the J-Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Huskies are ranked 139th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harlem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dwayne Broom, who rushed for 74 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Christian Serrano also deserves a shout-out for his two scores.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Harlem, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-12 loss against Belvidere North on the 25th. As for Harlem, they will challenge Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Huskies' offense will have their work cut out for them.
