Soccer Game Preview: Graham vs. Eastern Alamance

The Graham Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Eastern Alamance Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Graham has four straight wins, Eastern Alamance has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Graham will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Southern Alamance, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Red Devils came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Graham's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Southern Alamance are ranked 481st).

Meanwhile, Eastern Alamance managed to keep up with Williams until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 6-2 to the Bulldogs.

Kaden Oliver and Jamal Davis scored both of Eastern Alamance's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Graham's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1. As for Eastern Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1.

Graham took their win against Eastern Alamance when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
