Volleyball Recap: Whitewater Whippets vs. East Troy Trojans
Whitewater and East Troy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Whitewater had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The Whippets just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 losses in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-10.
Sydney Schilt paced Whitewater's offense, picking up four kills. Schilt really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Mya Graves-Koran controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
East Troy can attribute much of their success to Carli Murphy, who had 16 digs and two aces. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for East Troy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-17 record this season.
Whitewater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Troy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lake Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
