Basketball Recap: Oldenburg Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northeastern

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oldenburg Academy). They walked away with a 50-37 win over the Northeastern Knights on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Twisters.

Northeastern's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adysson Kircher, who posted 14 points. Kircher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Macey Oler also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Oldenburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Oldenburg Academy will face off against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeastern, they will square off against Union City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
