Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost against Benson Tech back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jefferson Democrats fell to the Benson Tech Astros 54-48. The Democrats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Benson Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will host Lincoln at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is facing Lincoln at the right time seeing as Lincoln is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Benson Tech, they are taking a road trip to face off against Grant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
