Softball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Lovelady Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

Centerville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tenley Charanza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lovelady, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Centerville Tigers duke it out with Leon Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lovelady, they will head out on the road to face off against Normangee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lovelady is facing Normangee at the right time seeing as Normangee is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
