Baseball Recap: David Douglas Comes Up Short

David Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-7 to the Reynolds Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-4 on Tuesday.

Parker Hall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. David Douglas is 2-1 when Hall posts two or more runs, but 0-9 otherwise. Colin Frazier was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

David Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Reynolds, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Douglas will head out to challenge Sandy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Scots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Reynolds, they will venture away from home to take on Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
