Elmwood extends home losing streak to four

The Elmwood Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-35 to Patrick Henry. While losing is never fun, Elmwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 646th, while Patrick Henry is ranked 196th).

Leading Patrick Henry to victory were Ada Christman and Carys Crossland. Christman scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and two steals, while Crossland scored 14 points along with three steals. Addie Schwab was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

Elmwood dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Elmwood will head out on the road to square off against Pandora-Gilboa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patrick Henry, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bryan at 6:00 p.m. Bryan will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
