Volleyball Recap: Heritage Falls Short Against Ranked West Noble

Heritage faced West Noble in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

While Heritage ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19.

Alexa Walter paced Heritage's offense, picking up six kills. Walter got some help from Maya Ehrman and her 11 assists. Audra Bickel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Heritage fell to 3-1. As for West Noble, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Heritage and West Noble will both be playing Northridge the next time they take the court. The Chargers will head out to face the Raiders at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
