Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-0 defeat on April 2nd.

As for Parkland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-14. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won 14 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Parkland's part, Devyn Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Rodriguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Sophia Villarreal was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Flores, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Bel Air nor Parkland have any future games scheduled.
