Baseball Recap: Lakeridge Takes a Loss

Lakeridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Linn Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss on Wednesday.

Lakeridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for West Linn, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakeridge will square off against rival Lake Oswego at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Linn is set to face off against their familiar foe Tualatin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Timberwolves a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
