Football Recap: Shelton Takes a Loss

Shelton lost against Pantego Christian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chargers were beaten by the Panthers 49-7. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Pantego Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Reynolds led the charge by picking up 89 receiving yards and one TD, while also punching in one rushing score. Reynolds' longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards. Anthony Jackson also helped with two scores in total.

This is the second loss in a row for Shelton and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Pantego Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Shelton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 49-14 win against Newman International Academy on the 26th. As for Pantego Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 45-9 victory against Live Oak Classical on the 26th.
