Basketball Recap: Starpoint Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Starpoint Spartans lost to the Lancaster Legends on the road by a 50-33 margin. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Madison Francis, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds for Lancaster. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Francis has scored at least a third of Lancaster's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Starpoint and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Lancaster, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Starpoint will welcome Sweet Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster, they will host Orchard Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
