Softball Recap: Gretna Takes a Loss

Dan River hit Gretna with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Gretna has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Dan River, their record is now 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gretna will head out to challenge Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks are facing the Minutemen at the right time seeing as the Minutemen are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Dan River, they will venture away from home to take on Nelson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
