Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayne Christian). They walked away with a 65-55 win over the Epiphany Falcons on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Epiphany's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Furniss, who went 6-for-15 en route to 17 points and five boards. Finley Parker was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 15 points.

Wayne Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Epiphany, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne Christian will head out to square off against North Duplin at 4:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Epiphany, they will venture away from home to face off against Gramercy Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
