Chesnee waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Broome Centurions. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Chesnee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Broome, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesnee will face off against High Point Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Broome, they will take on Mountain View Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
