Central Crossing fell victim to Grove City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Comets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grove City's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Central Crossing, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-13.
