Meanwhile, Red Mountain entered their tilt with Westwood on Thursday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Mountain Lions, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Issabella Preston tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Saige Peters, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nina Montenegro, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Red Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dobson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .518. However, it's not like Red Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .555. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dobson suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Red Mountain in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
