Soccer Game Preview: Tantasqua Regional vs. Nipmuc Regional

Tantasqua Regional will face off against Nipmuc Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tantasqua Regional's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tantasqua Regional managed to slip by Doherty Memorial the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors lost 6-0 to the Highlanders on Thursday. Considering the last time Tantasqua Regional couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nipmuc Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let Commerce get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday.

Nipmuc Regional is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-5 record this season. As for Tantasqua Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5-3.

Tantasqua Regional came out on top in a nail-biter against Nipmuc Regional in their previous matchup back in October, sneaking past 2-1. Will Tantasqua Regional repeat their success, or does Nipmuc Regional has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
