De Queen and Magnolia are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The De Queen Leopards will welcome the Magnolia Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when De Queen and Magnolia meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. De Queen had just enough and edged out Magnolia 4-3.

For Magnolia's part, Adelynn Bonds was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. Bonds also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

The defeat snapped Magnolia's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.3 runs. As for De Queen, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

De Queen came out on top in a nail-biter against Magnolia when the teams last played on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-3. Does De Queen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Magnolia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
