Softball Recap: Viborg/Hurley Gets the Win

Viborg/Hurley proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Parker Pheasants 13-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since May 22, 2025.

Addison Sayler was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Block, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Viborg/Hurley's record now sits at 2-7-1. As for Parker, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viborg/Hurley will welcome Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy at 10:00 a.m. on the 23rd. As for Parker, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Scotland/Menno at 4:00 p.m.
