Basketball Game Preview: Middleburg Broncos vs. Duval Charter Panthers

The Middleburg Broncos will face off against the Duval Charter Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Middleburg will be strutting in after a victory while Duval Charter will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Middleburg didn't have too much trouble with Clay as they won 46-27.

Middleburg found their leader in sophomore Aiyana Haynes, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine steals. The match was Haynes' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marie Hipp, who posted two points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Duval Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 71-5 loss at the hands of Middleburg.

Middleburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Duval Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Middleburg against Duval Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 71-5 win. Does Middleburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Duval Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
