Volleyball Recap: Rimrock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Gem State Adventist Academy on Thursday, Rimrock came back down to earth. The Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Baptist Mustangs on Monday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 15-25, 25-20.

Centennial Baptist was led to victory by Leilani Malepeai and Anna Hayek. Malepeai had 12 kills, five aces, and four digs, while Hayek had 13 kills and two aces. That's the most digs Malepeai has posted over her last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Hayek, who had five digs and three aces.

Rimrock dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Centennial Baptist, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Rimrock will face off against Liberty Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Centennial Baptist, they will venture away from home to face off against Idaho City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
