Reed has gone 9-1 against Carson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Senators at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Reed's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home while Carson has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Reed is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Spanish Springs, who was ranked sixth at the time (Reed was ranked second). The Raiders came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 8-3 on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Breanna Staats, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Elana Torres was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carson lost 17-3 to Douglas on Saturday.

Carson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cali Stagliano, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Reed has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16-1.

Carson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Reed has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Carson, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Reed's sizable advantage in that area, the Senators will need to find a way to close that gap.

Reed took their victory against Carson when the teams last played last Saturday by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Senators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
