Basketball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison lost against Jennings County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cubs lost 80-56 to the Panthers.

Jennings County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Davis led the charge by going 11-for-16 en route to 25 points. Those 25 points gave Davis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Dixon, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jennings County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Madison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-53 loss against Corydon Central on the 6th. As for Jennings County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-56 defeat against South Dearborn on the 6th.
