Softball Recap: West Lincoln Bears vs. Magee Trojans
In what's become a running theme this season, West Lincoln gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Magee Trojans a 16-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for West Lincoln.
Caroline Hedgepeth made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Hedgepeth was also big at the plate, scoring four runs.
In other batting news, Kaylee Wallace was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Baleigh Griffith, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
West Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Magee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.
