Recap: Polytechnic Parrots vs. Southwest Raiders
The Polytechnic Parrots lost against the Southwest Raiders on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Polytechnic lost to the Raiders at home by a decisive 41-25 margin. Polytechnic has not had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Polytechnic still got an impressive performance from Sofia Castro, who scored 15 points. That was a full 60% of Polytechnic's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Polytechnic has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Polytechnic will head out on the road to square off against the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Arlington Heights' favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home while the Parrots have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Southwest will take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
