Baseball Recap: Desert Mirage Takes a Loss

Desert Mirage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 19-1 to the Banning Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Monday.

Desert Mirage saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Cisneros-Morales, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Steven Cabrera also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Desert Mirage's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Banning, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Desert Mirage will be playing at home against Cathedral City at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Banning, they will head out to square off against Desert Hot Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
