Basketball Game Preview: East Boston Jets vs. O'Bryant Tigers

The East Boston Jets will challenge the O'Bryant Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, East Boston didn't have quite enough to beat Tech Boston Academy and fell 46-43. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when O'Bryant duked it out withMadison Park RVT on Tuesday. O'Bryant walked away with a 66-53 win over Madison Park RVT. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Cardinals are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

O'Bryant is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for East Boston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
