Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Rocky Mountain

Rocky Mountain came out on top against Capital on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Grizzlies blew past the Golden Eagles 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Rocky Mountain got a great performance from Reece Hudson as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Aiden Henzler was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cooper Frasure also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Rocky Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive matches.

Rocky Mountain pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Capital, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
