Ware County had won two straight road games and Tayshaun Franklin did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Gators claimed a resounding 57-19 victory over the New Hampstead Phoenix thanks in part to Franklin, who rushed for 134 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.4 rushing yards per game.

Ware County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for New Hampstead, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Ware County and New Hampstead will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Gators see the field they'll take on Perry at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for New Hampstead, their break will end when they face Warner Robins at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
