Baseball Recap: CHAAMP Homeschool Makes It Four in a Row at Home

CHAAMP HomeSchool won the last time they faced East Texas Homeschool Sports and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted against the Chargers since March 7, 2023.

David Harrison made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Aaron Meadows was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Joe Hefner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

CHAAMP HomeSchool pushed their record up to 9-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of five runs across that stretch. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, they moved to 11-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

CHAAMP HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Hawks are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a three-game losing streak. East Texas Homeschool Sports does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
