Baseball Recap: Edgewood Find Success

Edgewood won the last time they faced United Christian Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Edgewood Lions put the hurt on the United Christian Academy Eagles with a sharp 12-6 win.

Zack Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Davis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Maddox Murillo was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Noah Ramirez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Edgewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as United Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .385.

Edgewood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Garfield on the 27th. As for United Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-5 win against Crossroads Christian on the 27th.
