Medford is 8-2 against Lakeland since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will welcome the Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Medford 3.1, Lakeland 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Medford is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mosinee just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 10th.

Rylee Hraby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Medford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Hartl, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Eau Claire Memorial a 27-0 shutout on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Thunderbirds with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lakeland and bumps their season record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Medford, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
