Basketball Recap: Gulliver Prep Takes a Loss

Gulliver Prep and Cardinal Gibbons squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gulliver Prep had to settle for second. They lost to the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs on the road by a 68-54 margin. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Chiefs are ranked 16th).

Gulliver Prep's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Gulliver Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will square off against Calvary Christian Academy on February 28th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Calvary Christian Academy comes in on six and Cardinal Gibbons on five.
