Basketball Recap: Medina Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wadsworth last Tuesday, Medina came back down to earth. The Medina Battling Bees fell 61-53 to the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Friday. The Battling Bees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Medina has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina will take on Mentor at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they and McKinley will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in McKinley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
