Soccer Game Preview: Foxcroft Academy vs. John Bapst Memorial

Foxcroft Academy hasn't had much luck against John Bapst Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Ponies will take on the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Foxcroft Academy has given up an average of 5.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Foxcroft Academy's offense. They came up short against Ellsworth on Wednesday, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask John Bapst Memorial). Their defense stepped up to hand Old Town a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. John Bapst Memorial haven't had any issues with Old Town recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

John Bapst Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 10-1-2. As for Foxcroft Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Foxcroft Academy suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to John Bapst Memorial in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Can the Ponies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
