There's no place like home for West Carteret, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the East Carteret Mariners to the tune of 48-20 on Friday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Mariners recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Joshua Bauman was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 203 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Those 203 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Tanner Payne was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and three touchdowns.

The victory got West Carteret back to even at 1-1. As for East Carteret, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carteret will square off against North Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 979 yards in their previous games.
