McComb won the last time they faced Cory-Rawson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Fighting Hornets 17-8. Considering the Panthers have won five games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hannah Sherick was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caroline Bryan, who earned three runs and three stolen bases.

McComb's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Cory-Rawson, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

McComb wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-3 win against Miller City on the 2nd. As for Cory-Rawson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Spencerville on the 2nd.
