While Rodriguez put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Wood. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Rodriguez got a great performance from Carson Thompson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Thompson has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sean O'Connell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Drew Beasley was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Rodriguez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wood only posted an OBP of .167.

Rodriguez's record is now 12-7. As for Wood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Rodriguez will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
